Although what the editors originally had in mind was for the story to start with the Ibarra Family's arrival in the Philippines, I set the story a little farther back and did a short prologue.

It started with this strip back in 2002. It was the first comic strip to come out in Philippine News and was initially printed in color. Coming up with an introductory strip is always the hardest for me when it comes to serials and this one wasn't any different from my previous work. Although I did have an idea what's it going to be about I had to rush this one because the editors wanted to come out with it ASAP.
